Based in Montauk, New York, flyhi is a brand started by me, Jack Dec, an 18-year-old kid with aspirations to raise awareness around kids and young adults who struggle with everyday human obstacles.

My motto, “stretch your arms for your mind” comes from my personal experience being bullied as well as enduring extreme and life changing injury as a passionate athlete. Through years of suffering, I learned that stretching my arms, or allowing myself to be vulnerable by reaching for help, was essential for my mind, healing process, and well-being. As a result of my struggles, I have become a more aware and compassionate person so supporting others through their challenges is important to me. 

I fell into an opportunity this summer volunteering for Luv Michael, an organization that serves young adults with autism. I didn’t know much about autism before this experience but quickly learned that this incredible group of human beings struggle too. And sharing what I learned with others, and am still learning, is important. It’s all about education and exposure.

The flyhi mission is to raise awareness around kids and young adults who struggle with everyday human obstacles. The autism community is no different. Therefore, a percentage of your purchase of flyhi apparel will go directly to Luv Michael.
